Different situations can call for different shoe gear, but you want to make sure you are providing your foot with good support. One of the most common causes of heel pain is plantar fasciitis. This is an overuse syndrome that causes pain in the bottom of the heel in the area where a ligament attaches to the heel. There are things you can do to help with the pain this causes such as stretching and icing. It is also important to properly support your feet. There are other causes of heel pain such as Achilles tendonitis or tarsal tunnel syndrome. There can be overlapping symptoms so it is important to get the correct diagnosis.
